Workshop Information
Parvati Prasad's eldest son, Pranavi Ram Baruva, has conducted numerous workshops all over Assam, teaching the Geetikavi’s songs to interested students.
The first such workshop was held at Puranigodam, Nagaon district from December 20, 1998 to January 5, 1999. The workshop was a huge success and from then on there was no looking back. Since then, he has conducted over 40 such workshops, popularizing the Geetikavi’s songs across the length and breadth of Assam. Most of these workshops have been conducted under the aegis of different cultural organizations. The most in any year have been held within Parvati Prasad's centenary year: August 19, 2003 - through to August 19, 2004. A majority of these workshops have lasted about a week each and so far has benefited over a thousand students.
Some of the prominent places where such workshops have been conducted include Sonari, Jorhat, Moran, Diphu, Digboi, Nazira, Sibsagar, Tezpur, Borpeta, Duliajan, Majuli, Dhemaji, Jagiroad, Bongaigaon and of course Guwahati.
